The Rider-Marseille Tarot takes on the unusual challenge of holding two distinct tarot traditions in a single deck, and it does so with considerable skill. Artist Alejandro R. Rozan grew up with the Tarot de Marseille before going on to study its history, symbolism, and divinatory techniques in depth. Drawing on both that heritage and the Rider-Waite-Smith framework, he produced 78 cards that honor both lineages without feeling forced or contradictory. The card titles follow the Rider-Waite-Smith convention, and the deck comes with an information card and a promotional card.
Alejandro R. Rozan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts of Ciego de Avila and works across watercolor, pencil, pen, and digital art. He was first introduced to the Tarot de Marseille as a child and has spent years researching its history, major artists, and divinatory traditions. His work has appeared in publications including Esotoracle and Azoth.
