About the Creator
Nicoletta Ceccoli was born in 1973 in San Marino, Italy, and studied animation at the Institute of Art in Urbino. She was selected to exhibit at the Bologna Children's Book Fair while still a student, which launched her career as an illustrator for American and international publishers. Her work explores the tension between beauty and discomfort, innocence and emotional complexity, with a compositional skill and an emotional range that have made her a recognized figure in contemporary illustration.
