The Motherpeace Round Tarot is a foundational feminist deck that deliberately moved away from the patriarchal imagery embedded in most traditional tarot systems. Round cards with a primitive, goddess-centered aesthetic encourage intuitive reading, since the orientation of the card produces a gradient of meaning rather than a strict upright or reversed interpretation. The four suits draw on distinct world cultures, African imagery for Wands, Navajo traditions for Discs, and Greco-Roman references for Swords, while maintaining balance by including male figures alongside the predominantly female imagery.
