The Zombie Tarot

The Zombie Tarot is a full 78-card deck that marries the structure of classic Rider-Waite tarot with the low-budget horror aesthetics of films like Night of the Living Dead. It is campy by design, leaning into its subject matter with genuine wit rather than trying to be scary. The themes it covers, love, family, friendship, survival, and daily choices, are genuinely tarot themes, just worked through a lens of zombie apocalypse and dark humor.

Paul Kepple's illustrations have the look of vintage horror pulp, which gives the deck a visual coherence that elevates it beyond novelty. Stacy Graham's card interpretations are useful and occasionally funny. This is a deck that works as a reading tool and also happens to be entertaining to look at.
