The Tarot of Haunted House pays tribute to the gothic romance novels and low-budget horror films of the 1960s and 70s with an affectionate, knowing eye. The deck follows a character named Raven Wandsworth as she moves through a haunted house that becomes a metaphor for the process of self-confrontation. According to creator Sasha Graham, the house stands for ownership of the self, and each room, each card, represents some aspect of facing what we would rather avoid.
Artist Mirco Pierfederici brings to the deck the same visual confidence he developed working on Marvel titles like The Avengers and Wolverine. His bold linework and rich, shadowed compositions give the horror-inflected imagery a graphic weight that feels both stylized and genuinely atmospheric.
Sasha Graham is a widely published tarot author and educator whose work has been translated into eight languages. Her books include 365 Tarot Spreads, 365 Tarot Spells, and Llewellyn's Complete Book of the Rider Waite Smith Tarot, among many others. She edited Lo Scarabeo's Tarot Fundamentals and Tarot Experience series, and has created several tarot decks including the Dark Wood Tarot and Tarot of the Witch's Garden.
Mirco Pierfederici began his career in Italian comics as an inker and colorist before joining Marvel Comics as both a cover and interior artist. He has worked on titles including The Avengers, Wolverine, X-Men, and Marvel Zombies, and illustrated a graphic novel adaptation of the original Tron film. He lives in Senigallia, Italy.
