Minoan Tarot

The Minoan Tarot draws on the art and culture of ancient Crete, a civilization that flourished more than two thousand years before Christianity and left behind strikingly vivid imagery on the walls of its temple complexes and cities. The 86-card deck uses the Minoan color palette directly from those ruins and includes unique features like gender-balanced face cards, Priest and Priestess, Lord and Lady, Youth and Maid, reflecting what scholars understand as the more egalitarian character of Minoan society. Each card displays symbols from an ancient writing system and includes keywords pointing to both surface meaning and deeper significance.
