Crystal Tarot

The Crystal Tarot takes its visual cue from stained glass and Art Nouveau illustration, using intricate patterns nested within patterns to give the familiar tarot images an unusual depth and richness. The palette is brilliant and unexpected — colors that don't follow the conventional tarot rulebook — and the level of detail invites extended looking. Influenced by both Rider-Waite and Thoth traditions, the deck manages to feel genuinely contemporary while still holding the traditional imagery intact.

Italian illustrator Elisabetta Trevisan was born in Merano in 1957 and trained at the art school of Padua. Her studio work spans multiple techniques — gouache, pastel, watercolor — applied to a range of surfaces, and she has contributed illustrations to magazines and children's books alongside her fine art practice.
