Yokai Tarot

Yokai Tarot

Yokai are the supernatural beings of Japanese folklore, a vast and varied population of spirits, monsters, and uncanny presences that have coexisted with human life in the Japanese imagination for centuries. This deck by Marga Biazzi and Paolo Bertazzo draws on that rich tradition, using yokai as the primary figures to carry tarot's archetypal wisdom. The creatures here inhabit forests, seas, and the hidden corners of ordinary homes, and Biazzi's illustrations capture both their strangeness and their intimacy with human experience.
