The Guardian of the Night Tarot spans an extraordinary range of creatures, from bats and bees to pangolins and capybaras, each bringing its own character and significance to the reading. The cards were created as an invitation to discover what emerges when we stop fighting the shadowy parts of life and start paying attention to what lives there.
The artwork is lush and detailed, rendered in digital collage by artist Margaux Jones, and the images reward slow looking. About the Creator
Margaux Jones, known as MJ, is a Seattle-based artist and writer who studied at Parsons School of Design and developed her digital collage technique independently over more than a decade. Her debut deck, the Crow Tarot, won the 2019 CARTA award for best tarot deck and best tarot illustrator, and introduced her distinct visual language to a wide audience. Nature and urban environments both shape her work, which consistently finds a way to bring the two into conversation.
