Pierre Cheminade published this tarot in 1742 at Serravalle-Sesia in Piedmont, northern Italy, and the dolphins in the maker crest point to his French origins and time spent in Marseilles. The packaging for this facsimile includes a reproduction of the traditional wrapping envelope the card maker used during his Marseilles period. The only known surviving copy of this deck is held at the British Museum in London. Limited to 1,500 copies.
