Tarot by Jacob Joerger  Besançon 1801, France

The Jacob Joerger tarot, made by a German card maker in Besancon, France in 1801, is considered a key reference point within the Besancon style. True to that tradition, the Papess and Pope are replaced by Juno and Jupiter, and the Moon card shows its face straight-on rather than in profile. This Tarot de Marseille Heritage facsimile is based on a rare, well-preserved private collection copy. Limited to 1,500 copies.
