Engraved in 1751 by master card maker Claude Burdel in Fribourg, Switzerland, this deck is widely regarded as the finest Swiss example of the Tarot de Marseille tradition. It carries the distinctive additions typical of Swiss card production of the period and is considered a masterwork of eighteenth-century craft. This Tarot de Marseille Heritage facsimile is based on the original preserved at the MuCEM in Marseilles and is limited to 3,000 copies, packaged in a reproduction envelope enclosed in a two-piece box.
