Star Spinner Tarot
The Star Spinner follows the Rider-Waite vocabulary closely but makes a number of deliberate changes to reflect a more modern, inclusive perspective. One notable choice is the inclusion of four Lovers cards rather than one, allowing the reader to select whichever feels most personally relevant, or to use all of them and let the cards decide. Creator Trungles draws on his identity as a queer Vietnamese-American, his love of mythology, folklore, and animation, and his genuine understanding of tarot to produce a deck that feels personal without being narrow.
About the Creator
Trung Le Nguyen, known professionally as Trungles, is a comic book artist and illustrator based in Minnesota. He holds a degree in Studio Art with a concentration in oil painting from Hamline University and has contributed work to publishers including Oni Press, Boom! Studios, Limerence Press, and Image Comics. His interests in fairy tales, animated storytelling, and romance inform much of his visual work.
