Spiritsong Tarot

The Spiritsong Tarot brings together two approaches to divination: the traditional 78-card tarot structure and the shamanic tradition of animals as messengers between the physical and spiritual worlds. Each animal was chosen with care, drawing on Native American and shamanic symbolism to find creatures whose qualities align with specific tarot archetypes. The Raven, for instance, carries associations with creation that mirror the energy of the Magician. The four suits are renamed Acorns for Wands, Feathers for Swords, Shells for Cups, and Crystals for Pentacles, grounding the familiar framework in the natural world. Paulina Cassidy painted all 78 animals in watercolor and pen and ink, giving the deck a luminous, dreamy quality that draws you into its world.

About the Creator

Paulina Cassidy is an artist whose work has been collected internationally for over twenty-five years. She creates primarily in watercolor and pen and ink, building her images layer by layer and combining fine line work with washes of color. Cassidy draws inspiration from Arthur Rackham, John Tenniel, Kay Nielsen, and other masters of the golden age of illustration, and her decks blend whimsy with genuine symbolic depth.
