Kay Steventon built the Spiral Tarot around a fascination with myth, drawing figures and symbols from Celtic, Roman, and Greek traditions to create a deck that feels both ancient and cohesive. The Major Arcana weaves in Kabbalistic and astrological elements, while the Minor Arcana is fully illustrated with scenes that carry genuine narrative weight. Steventon painted each card with vibrant color and an attention to detail that rewards careful study, producing a deck of real depth and visual richness.
About the Creator
Kay Steventon is an Australian painter who has been creating symbolic artwork for over three decades, with her work exhibited and collected in Fiji, America, and Australia. Based at Overbank End Studio in Eltham, Victoria, she works as a commissioned portrait artist with a specialty in astrological portraiture. Her professional background in fine art and her deep personal engagement with tarot and astrology came together in the Spiral Tarot, and she is also the creator of the widely admired Celestial Tarot Deck.
