The Minchiate Fiorentine 1850 is a handmade Il Meneghello reproduction of a Florentine deck from the mid-19th century, representing a tradition that dates back to the 16th century and remained popular in Italy into the 1930s. Unlike standard tarot, Minchiate contains 97 cards, expanding the Major Arcana from 22 to 41 by adding the virtues of Prudence, Faith, Hope, and Charity, the twelve zodiac signs, and the four elements. The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards across four suits with 14 cards each, and the court figures include a unique infantry woman. The horse cards are hybrid human-animal figures. This 2022 edition is limited to 2,000 copies and arrives in a two-part box sealed with the maker's wax stamp.
