English Magic Tarot

The English Magic Tarot is set in a specific and richly chosen moment in history, stretching from the time of Henry VIII through to the Restoration. This was an era when John Dee served as Queen Elizabeth's court astrologer, Isaac Newton was quietly studying alchemy, and antiquarian John Aubrey was rediscovering ancient sacred sites. Artist Rex Van Ryn, colorist Steve Dooley, and writer Andy Letcher worked together to bring this world to life in a bold, graphic style with hidden references, riddles, and layers of traditional English magical lore embedded within each card. It is the first tarot deck drawn explicitly from the English magical tradition.
