About the Creators
Gianfranco Pereno was born in Leumann, Turin, in 1955 and trained at the Vittorio Veneto Art School and the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. He has worked across photography, advertising, underwater photography, exhibition design, and book illustration. From 1992 to 2007 he ran an art studio near Piazza San Marco in Venice, producing an exclusive collection of masks with traditional Venetian graphics and gold engraving on Murano glass. He now lives in the naturalistic oasis of Cavallino Treporti on the Venetian lagoon.
