Connolly Tarot
The Connolly Tarot has the quality of light through stained glass — vivid colors, luminous figures in period costume, and a sense of spiritual uplift in every image. The cards were drawn to work on a subconscious level, and readers often find that the imagery reaches them before any intellectual interpretation does. This is a Rider-Waite-compatible deck that makes a few significant adjustments: the Death card has been renamed Transition, and the Devil becomes Materialism, softening two cards that many readers find difficult.
About the Creators
Peter Paul Connolly developed a distinctive style using colored pencil as his primary medium, which gives the Connolly Tarot its characteristic brilliance and detail. The deck took over eighteen months to complete, with each card constructed through careful research and close collaboration with author Eileen Connolly. Connolly lives in North Carolina and his work appears in galleries and in private commissions.
