22 Glances in 22 Arcana
Among the final works created by Maestro Osvaldo Menegazzi, the 22 Sguardi in 22 Arcani explores the Major Arcana through a single, recurring motif: eyes. Each of the 22 watercolor paintings functions as a quiet meditation, using the gaze as a portal into the elemental themes that run through tarot's most powerful cards. The effect is haunting and intimate, as though the archetypes themselves are watching back. Cards have Italian titles, square corners, and a matte finish. This 2022 edition was limited to 250 numbered decks.
About the Creator
Osvaldo Menegazzi holds a singular place in Italian art and card history. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, he channeled his twin passions for fine art and antique cards into founding Il Meneghello in 1974. The publishing house went on to become one of the world's most respected producers of historically significant and artistically inventive card decks, with its work collected by museums and private collectors across the globe.
